Mission Statement

Capital City Youth Ballet Company is a non-profit ballet company dedicated to:

* Providing a training ground for pre-professional students who wish to pursue a carrer in dance.

* Providing performance experience in a theatre setting distinct from school recitals or exhibitions.

* Serving as a source from which professional companies may select dancers.

* Providing educational dance programs for local school districts to encourage the young to explore dance as an art, recreation, or a career.

* Collaborate with the community artists and support community events by appearance and assistance.

Capital City Youth Ballet strives to achieve these goals by demanding high standards of dance education and presentation, and by professional conduct within dance company structure. Weekly rehearsals, annual concerts, school shows and community appearences allow our dancers the opportunity for growth and new experiences appropriate to the dancer’s age and skill level. Interacting with the community provides Capital City Youth Ballet the means to assess itself within the greater dance community and set its future goals.
